Wilbo Baggins
Verse 1
In Bywater’s rolling fields I dwell,
Where tales of old still find their spell;
A Baggins born, though not so famed—
Wilbo’s my name, though kinship’s strained.
Twice removed from Hobbit-lore,
Yet winds of destiny roar;
While Frodo bears the weight of ring,
I hum my tune and let my heart sing.
Chorus
Oh, Wilbo Baggins, steady and sure,
With courage small but spirit pure.
Though shadows fall on distant trails,
Hope lights the night where heart prevails.
Oh, Wilbo Baggins, riser of dawn,
In Shire’s embrace, my tale lives on.
Verse 2
I tend my garden, pipe in hand,
Not bound for quests in far-off land;
But when the Black Riders stir the night,
I stand my post with quiet might.
For family’s bond is strong and true,
No Ring to bear, but work to do;
With seed and spade, I prove my worth—
A Hobbit’s peace is life on earth.
Chorus
Oh, Wilbo Baggins, steady and sure,
With courage small but spirit pure.
Though shadows fall on distant trails,
Hope lights the night where heart prevails.
Oh, Wilbo Baggins, riser of dawn,
In Shire’s embrace, my tale lives on.
Bridge
Some seek glory in far-off wars,
I find mine ‘neath the orchard’s boughs;
Yet when dark tidings call for aid,
I’ll stand with friends unafraid.
For blood may tie us—fate may roam—
Yet love of hearth will guide us home.
Verse 3
So sing of Wilbo, friend to all,
Who answers hearth’s and family’s call;
In candle’s glow or morning dew,
My simple heart remains true.
Twice removed, but ever near,
I guard the Shire without fear;
With laughter loud and honest cheer,
I weave my life year after year.
Chorus
Oh, Wilbo Baggins, steady and sure,
With courage small but spirit pure.
Though shadows fall on distant trails,
Hope lights the night where heart prevails.
Oh, Wilbo Baggins, riser of dawn,
In Shire’s embrace, my tale lives on.
